Creating Classrooms That Support Mental Health

Zinobia Bennefield PhD is a professor, researcher, and youth mental health consultant. She combines tools from multiple disciplines in order to help professionals understand and better meet the psychological needs of children and adolescents in culturally competent ways. 

Her original research has been published in Research in the Sociology of Health Care, Child and Adolescent Social Work, American Journal of Health Education, and Social Science and Medicine, and she creates public courses for educators on childhood and adolescent mental health and creating classrooms that support mental health. 

Zinobia is also the author of the blog Her Great Resignation where she documents her journey of leaving her academic career to follow her passions.
